Château de Latour Pauillac de Latour 2010 is a full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend from the celebrated Pauillac First Growth Château Latour. Pauillac de Latour is Latour`s third wine, and offers an accessible and affordable insight into the winemaking capabilities of this revered estate. The 2010 is an assemblage of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The cuvée represented 24% of production in this vintage. "An amazingly opulent, round, delicious wine... it possesses wonderfully silky tannins, classic blackcurrant, cedar wood and forest floor notes, and rich, full-bodied opulence as well as a terrific purity and palate presence." Wine Advocate, 2013

Vinous
The 2010 Pauillac de Latour has plenty of blackberry, raspberry and bilberry fruit on the nose, perhaps just a tad more extraction here compared to some of its Left Bank peers in the flight. But the fruit is clean and pure and well integrated with the oak. The palate is medium-bodied with fine but firm tannins. This feels tight and linear at the moment, a “correct” Left Bank wine that is maybe missing some charm. Hopefully that will develop with time. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal.

A Towering First Growth
Situated on the Bordeaux's Left Bank in the appellation of Pauillac, this superb First Growth is produced from the estate's 92ha of vines, spread across 138 plots, (47 hectares of which are located in renowned 'L'Enclos'). The clay and gravel soils give superbly concentrated, textural Cabernet Sauvignon dominant reds, with Merlot and smaller percentages of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc making up the blend.
The estate also produces two further celebrated reds, Les Forts de Latour and Pauillac de Latour. Certified organic since 2018, biodynamic techniques are also used in the vineyard.
