Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

This single refill hogshead of Orkney single malt whisky was filled in 2006, matured for 16 years. Fresh, bright, and powerful, this whisky captures the essence of the Orkney landscape, evoking the feeling of being outdoors on the island—cold, wet, and invigorated by the elements. For those who dream of escaping to Orkney or exploring another realm entirely, this bottle offers a figurative journey, encapsulated in its distinct character and flavour.

On the nose, sweet melon and wet oak are accompanied by woody notes like driftwood, creamy salty aromas, apples, truffles, lemon, soft lime, stem ginger, and mild herbal touches. The palate reveals soft brine and tangy citrus, with hints of lemon, grapes, and toasted oak. There`s a light sweetness with notes of banana, honey drizzle, and shortbread, balanced by coconut flakes, lemon meringue, and sour candy. A soft, sweet smoke lingers across the mid and late palate, while crispy apple and ginger add vibrancy.

An Orcadian Icon

Arguably one of Scotland's most famous 'island distilleries' and certainly one of the most remote, Highland Park is situated on Orkney in the Shetlands. Established in 1798, the distillery sources peat from their own heather moorland and water from Cattie Maggie's spring, the same source they have been using for over 200 years. Highland Park still operate their own floor malts, which provide around 20% of the barley they require for whisky-making, and operate two wash still and two spirit stills.

The spirit is bold and complex with a whiff of wood char and a dense, barley-forward, honeyed character. The 12 year old and 18 year olds are considered classic malts by many whisky lovers, while single vintage releases and special editions sell quickly to collectors. Independent bottlings are rare, but worth seeking out.
