Competitive storage rates: £15 per 12-bottle case per year, £7.50 per 6-bottle case per year, equivalent to £1.25 per standard bottle. Alternative formats will be charged accordingly.

Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Opus One is a collaboration between two legendary wine families. the Mondavis from Napa Valley and the Rothschilds from Bordeaux. The winery was established in 1979 with a goal to create a singular wine that combines the best of both Californian and French winemaking traditions. The 2006 vintage exhibits a deep, intense colour and a complex bouquet of black and red fruits like blackcurrants, cherries, and blackberries, along with notes of spices, herbs, and earthy tones. The aging process in French oak added layers of vanilla, toast and cedar. The tannins are now well-integrated, providing structure and balance. The wine is available here in a rare magnum bottle.

Deep plum in colour, the darkest in the lineup so far, still with those silky velvety tannins that are visually apparent as well as providing structure on the palate. You can just sink right into this, so much savoury Cabernet Sauvignon dominance, studded with dark pepper spice, sandalwood, olives, mint leaf, fragrant and fabulous, tannins a little tight even at 19 years old, a more serious take on Opus. Not an easy vintage, well handled. Michael Silacci winemaker. 100% new French oak for ageing, 26 days skin contact, co-fermented Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon for the first time.Jane Anson26th June 2025

I expected the 2006 Opus One to be more reticent than it actually is. Dark plums, black cherries, licorice, tar and smoke all take shape as the 2006 opens up in the glass. Overall, this is a supple Opus One with good complexity but less of the personality of the best wines of the year. In 2006 the blend is 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 3% Malbec. The style is relatively juicy, partly owing to the highest presence of Merlot ever. Opus One

A First Growth in Napa

Known as NapaMedoc for the first three vintages and rebranded in 1982 as Opus One, this iconic Californian winery was founded as a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and Robert Mondavi. The objective was to recreate a First Growth level, Bordeaux style wine in the Napa Valley and by every measure, they succeeded. The Grand Vin is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot and is aged for 18 months in 100% new French oak before being laid down for a further 18 months to mature in bottle. Since 1993, they have produced a second wine, Overture.

The winemaker is Micheal Silacci who apprenticed under legendary Napa winemakers Andre Tchelistcheff and Warren Winiarski and previously held positions at Beaulieu Vineyard and Stag's Leap Wine Cellars.
