Occidental Station Vineyard Cuvée Catherine Pinot Noir 2014 originates from the Occidental Station Vineyard, part of the Sonoma Coast AVA. This vineyard was established by vintner Steve Kistler in 1999, with an emphasis on iron-rich, pebbly sandstone soils that contribute to a distinctive flavour profile. Adhering to minimalist winemaking practices, the wine undergoes hand-harvesting, 100% destemming and native yeast fermentation, aged in moderately new French oak. Expectations include a balance of vibrant acidity and structured tannins, alongside intricate notes of dark fruits, earthiness and subtle mineral nuances.
