The 2013 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Damodes 1er Cru has a mature nose with red berry fruit, wild mushrooms and incense. It's nicely focused and fresher than some of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with gritty tannins, a little soft-centered, mulberry mixed with mushroom and tobacco, and some dryness on the finish. Not bad, given the season, but I would drink this now. Neal Martin1st October 2023
