Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Situated in the south of the village of Nuits-Saint-Georges, the `Climat` of Les Cailles produces a wonderfully moreish wine. Bouchard Père & Fils owns 1.08 ha of this exceptional terroir. Expect intense notes of black fruit together with oak and delicately spiced character. Full and fleshy on the palate, the structure of this wine is based on elegant tannins. Very good aging potential. Pair with game, venison and meat dishes in sauce.

Attractive aromas of raspberries and cherries mingling with nuances of blood orange, grilled squab and dark chocolate introduce the 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Cailles, a wine that's showing substantially better than it did from barrel in December. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, showing good depth and dimension at the core, fine but chalky structuring tannins and good length on the finish.William Kelley30th April 2019

The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Cailles 1er Cru has a relatively light bouquet of brambly red fruit, with earthy and briary touches coming through with time. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy red fruit and comes across quite tight and spicy, missing some refinement toward the finish. A bit chewy at the moment, but there is decent body and this may improve with bottle age. It depends on whether the dry finish becomes more astringent with time. Timeless legacy in Burgundy’s heart

Established in 1731, Maison Bouchard Père & Fils is one of the oldest and largest wine estates in the Côte d’Or. In 1995, the estate was acquired by the Henriot family, whose portfolio also includes William Fèvre, Beaux Frères, Château de Poncié and Champagne Henriot. Bouchard boasts vineyard holdings totalling approximately 130 hectares, including 74ha of Premiers Crus and 12ha of Grand Crus, with as many as 450 different individual plots. While the maison’s vast mosaic of holdings are weighted towards the Côte de Beaune, the Côte de Nuits is also a major focus.

The maison’s original vineyard was purchased by Joseph Bouchard in Volnay Les Caillerets in 1775. Not long after Beaune Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus followed. Now one of four Bouchard monopole vineyards, Beaune Grèves Vignes de l’Enfant Jésus was once owned by the Carmelite order of nuns and is the source of Bouchard’s flagship wine. Bouchard’s extensive suite of wines is produced and aged at the state-of-the-art, gravity-fed Cuverie Saint Vincent in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Once bottled, the wines are stored beneath the historic Château de Beaune, built in the 15th century by King Louis XI and purchased by Bernard Bouchard in 1820.

With almost 300 years of savoir-faire, from its unrivalled multiplicity of terroirs, Bouchard stands as one of the most eminent names in Burgundy winemaking.
