Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

The 1996 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru is showing some browning on the rim but is healthy and clear in color. The nose is fully mature and quite ferrous in style. It’s a little rustic at first pour, though it coheres in the glass, gaining depth of fruit—mulberries and touches of wild strawberry. The palate is, again, a little rustic, as many Côte de Nuits from this vintage tend to be. It is not a powerful Nuits Saint-Georges, but the tannins are palpable and there is a sense of heartwarming earthiness, just a little fungal toward the finish. This takes time to find its feet, so I was grateful to be drinking the wine rather than tasting it. The 1996 will not improve, so if you are fortunate to own a bottle, especially if you paid a similar price to what I did back in the day, feel free to open. Burgundian Royalty

The Leroy name is a key pillar of the Burgundian wine scene and a leading light in the Côte d'Or, with three main strands: Domaine Leroy, Maison Leroy and Domaine d'Auvenay (a small, biodynamically farmed Domaine founded by Lalou in 1988).

In 1988, recognising the trend towards domaine bottling in Burgundy, Lalou Bize-Leroy purchased what would become Domaine Leroy: an estate situated in Vosne-Romanée (previously known by the name Domaine Noëllat). Domaine Leroy labelled wines are thus are produced from parcels of grapes grown on the 22ha of domaine-owned Côte d'Or vineyards, which span nine different Grand Crus. These wines are produced biodynamically and at extremely low yields, resulting in superbly concentrated expressions of the Burgundian terroir.
