Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

This review may be generous, but I have always liked this wine, even though it borders on being slightly too dry, austere, and restrained. Nevertheless, the dark garnet color and classic sweet, spicy, tobacco, coffee, and black currant aromas are enticing. The wine still has powerful tannin in the finish, which contributes to the dry, austere character this example has always exhibited. One of the more intellectually-styled Moutons, the 1966 is a classic example of the vintage, as well as of the chateau's Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated style. Anticipated maturity: Now-2008. Served blind instead of a Ch Margaux 1975 that was too disappointing to serve.
Pale crimson and rather soft on the palate. Light brett. Very dry and lacking fruit on the finish. There was a certain spice to this wine, which I thought tasted like a Bandol! (JR) — Jancis Robinson, 5th October 2021

The prestigious Château Mouton Rothschild estate is home to the world-renowned First Growth of the same name, in addition to a second red wine, Petit Mouton and a white wine, made in smaller quantities, known as L'Aile d'Argent. Established in 1853 by Baron Nathaniel de Rothschild, the Château pioneered the idea of bottling their own wine in the 1920s while other properties were still selling and exporting in barrel. A Second Growth until 1972, the winery was officially elevated to the high rank of Bordeaux classification in 1973 after much campaigning by the famous Baron Philippe de Rothschild.

Cabernet Sauvignon that takes pride of place in the wines of Mouton Rothschild, with smaller percentages of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Cabernet Sauvignon always predominates in the Mouton red, giving the wine its rich tannins, wealth of aroma, flavour and superb ageing capacity. Meanwhile Merlot, an inseparable companion, brings suppleness, roundness and exceptional length.
