Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Marquis de Laguiche Joseph Drouhin Montrachet 1999 is a medium-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Grand Cru climat of Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune. An owner of domaines including Domaine Marquis de Laguiche and the monopole of Clos des Mouches, as well as operating a hugely successful negociant business, the family-owned Drouhin is justly respected for producing such a diverse portfolio of Burgundy wines with such a clear signature of their terroir. Available here in magnum format is the 1999 Montrachet from Domaine Marquis de Laguiche. "The intensely spicy nose is still very fresh and only just beginning to reveal the initial hints of maturing fruit that remains impressively rich and expressive with toasted oak notes followed by big, mineral laden flavours and a finish that emphasize both green apples and ripe orchard fruits. There is a lovely purity here with beautifully elegant buffering acidity and a pronounced leesy quality. This should drink well young but age for a very long time but at the moment, it`s clearly still on the way up..." Burghound, 2006

The 1999 Montrachet Grand Cru is poured from magnum, the first in a flurry of wines commencing a La Paulée in Beaune. I find this a little spirituous on the nose, powerful, almost "burly" in style. I would have liked more mineralité to show through. The palate is actually better with impressive weight. This is a broad-shouldered Montrachet with a slightly oily texture and a dash of white pepper mixed with green olives on the finish. Fine, but just missing the pedigree of the best vintages. Already looks golden and unctuous. Smoky nose. Very lively, pungent perfume combined with real substance and non-aggressive chew (as in a young wine with lots to give as opposed to the astringence of hard-pressed grapes).
