Château Monbousquet is a historic estate with origins dating back to the 16th century. Since 1992, it has been overseen by Gérard Perse, who also owns Château Pavie. This vintage features a Merlot-dominant blend, with smaller amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, delivering an intensity that reflects the warm growing season. The wine reveals earthy aromas complemented by dark fruit notes and a structured palate, offering insight into the complexities of its terroir and the influence of meticulous vinification practices characteristic of the region.

Vinous
Excellent deep ruby color. Primary aromas of dark berries, cherry, shoe polish and smoky oak. Supple, rich and textured, but not as pliant or layered as the '97 due to slightly edgy acids. Finishes with well-distributed, dusty tannins that will require a few years to soften.
