Château Meyney is a historic estate located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux. Its vineyards lie on a ridge overlooking the Gironde estuary, which provides a unique terroir and microclimate for viticulture. At this stage of maturity, the Château Meyney 1982 is revealing a complex array of aromas, including blackcurrant, plum, cedar, tobacco, and leather. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a balanced acidity, which are hallmarks of a well-aged Bordeaux. The finish is long and persistent.

The 1982 Meyney is a wine that I have encountered once before. It's decent enough, presenting a distinctly earthy/leathery nose with humidor scents, although you wish there was more fruit. The palate is medium-bodied and angular in style, with modest weight, but disappointingly, it flatlines on the finish. Should be drunk soon. Tasted from a bottle at home. - Neil Martin - The 1982 Meyney is a wine that I have encountered once before.
