Meursault Porusot Thierry Pillot 2023 is a white Burgundy that underscores the distinct terroir of the renowned Premier Cru vineyard. Crafted from Chardonnay, this wine captures the essence of a site known for its varied soils comprising stony and clayey components. Thierry Pillot, also associated with Domaine Paul Pillot, sources grapes from select parcels to ensure a faithful representation of this terroir`s complexity. The 2023 vintage exhibits minerality, acidity and a structured finish.

Thierry Pillot
Though successful as winemaker at the family property, Domaine Paul Pillot, Thierry Pillot established his tiny négociant operation several years ago and rapidly garnered widespread acclaim for his small but impressive portfolios of wines. His wines are supremely terroir-driven and characterful, produced from organically farmed (uncertified) vines and with minimal new oak usage.
Making wonderful wines under his own label from some of the finest parcels of Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay and St. Aubin, Thierry Pillot is a thoughtful winemaker who favours tension and crystalline purity, often eschewing more interventionist techniques and new oak to give the wines greater transparency.
