Yves Boyer Martenot is a wine estate covering approximately 10 hectares in spread across various appellations of the Côte de Beaune. The family-owned Domaine is currently managed by Vincent Boyer, a hard-working vigneron focused on quality over quantity. This particular cuvée comes from the Domaine’s plot in’ Perrières’, a Premier Cru vineyard situated at the southern end of Meursault. 2002 is deservedly a popular vintage among Burgundy aficionados, and the remaining available wines are in a great spot right now.
91 Vinous
(North Berkeley bottling) Fresher aromas of orange, lemon and crushed stone. Ripe and bright, with sweet flavors of orange, lemon and stone. Quite tactile, minerally and long on the aftertaste. Much fresher than the regular bottling, based on these two samples. Stephen Tanzer1st September 2004
90 Jancis Robinson
Shy aromas of pears can be discerned in the demure nose of the 2002 Meursault Perrieres. This highly detailed, medium-bodied wine has outstanding concentration, focus, purity, and length. Liquid stones are intermingled with spices in its lively, defined character. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2012.
