Maison Louis Jadot is one of the most consistent growers and négociants in Burgundy, offering a vast portfolio of wines – from easy-drinking, accessible Bourgogne to complex, age-worthy Grand Cru expressions. Based in Beaune, the company is today run by Pierre-Henri Gagey, assisted by head winemaker Frédéric Barnier. This is the Jadot’s Perrières Premier Cru, a vineyard situated at the southern end of Meursault. 2002 is deservedly a popular vintage among Burgundy aficionados, and the remaining available wines are in a great spot right now.

Wet stone minerality dominates pear on the nose. Juicy, dry and powerful, with pear and apple fruit and a strong crushed stone character. Impressively dense, broad and dry, but extremely young, even if it's already quite aromatic in the mouth. The wine's flesh is hidden today by its piquant acids.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2004

A crystalline wine of purity and detail, the mineral and stone-scented 2002 Meursault Perrieres displays quartz and gravel flavors. This concentrated, light to medium-bodied and fresh wine is lively and satiny-textured. Projected maturity: 2007-2015.
