The Meursault Perrières Jacques Prieur 2005 is a Premier Cru white Burgundy crafted from Chardonnay, originating solely from the Les Perrières vineyard in Meursault, Côte de Beaune. Domaine Jacques Prieur, a notable producer with a rich history dating back to 1880, owns a small parcel of approximately 0.65 hectares in the `Perrières Dessous` area. This vintage reveals a complex aromatic profile featuring lemon oil, crushed stone and white peach, married with elements of hazelnut and smokiness. On the palate, it offers concentrated flavours, crisp acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish.

Vinous
Fresh, minerally aromas of peach and wet stone. Suave on entry, then silky-smooth in the middle, with subtle, slowly mounting flavors of fresh pineapple and stone. Fine-grained and balanced but quite backward today. Much less exuberant and exotic than the 2006 version. Finishes very rich and long, with a suggestion of saline minerality.
