Meursault Les Poruzots Henri Boillot 2022 represents a classic expression of Burgundy`s terroir. This white wine presents floral aromas of acacia and linden, complemented by hints of lime and white blossom on the nose. The palate showcases its fine minerality, reflecting the region`s unique geology. Domaine Henri Boillot, founded in 1885, is known for its commitment to traditional winemaking techniques and meticulous vineyard management. This wine is best enjoyed between 2026 and 2030, allowing for further development.
Vinous
The 2022 Meursault Les Poruzots 1er Cru marries fruit intensity with drive. It’s a combination that works so well here. Then again, that is a signature of this part of the vineyard. Crushed rocks, lemon peel, mint, white pepper and light tropical notes all come alive with some time in the glass. - Antonio Galloni

Father and Son

In some ways, Henri Boillot has one foot in the past and one in the present. His family domaine, which he manages with his son Guillaume, has a history dating back to the 1880s, but the wines produced from their Meursault-based winery are undeniably modern, approachable and ranked among some of the very best in the region. Alongside operating a highly successful négociant business, the Boillot family own around 14 hectares of vineyards in the Côte de Beaune including a Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru monopole in the form of Clos de la Mouchère.

The winery don't shy away from the use of new oak and any overtly woody character is generally well balanced by ripe fruit. The Chardonnays range from citrus driven and fresher at the villages level all the way to ripe, tropical and creamy at the Grand Cru level. The reds are lighter and more elegant than they used to be with Henri's son Guillaume preferring a less extracted style of Pinot Noir.
