Founded in 1880 and still family owned, Joseph Drouhin is one of the most well-respected names in Burgundy. Based in Beaune, the Domaine has been producing a diverse range of cuvées for over 140 years - from complex, age-worthy Grand Cru expressions to easy-drinking village wines. This release comes from the Meursault Premier Cru ‘Les Perrières’ and it is produced with purchased grapes from local growers. 2002 was a particularly good vintage for white Burgundy, producing soft and rounded wines with fresh mineral tones.

Pure aromas of orange, iodine and crushed stone. Juicy, pure and aromatic in the mouth, with subtle notes of apple, pear and quinine. A very dense, smooth, elegant wine with plenty of intensity, as well as the structure to age.Stephen Tanzer1st September 2004
