Benjamin Leroux Meursault Les Genevrières 2022 is a medium-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Premier Cru climat of Les Genevrières in the Meursault appellation of the Côte de Beaune. Benjamin Leroux is a well-respected winemaker and wine producer based in the Côte de Beaune. After working as the winemaker for the esteemed Domaine Comte Armand for several years, he started his own label in 2007. Benjamin Leroux focuses on producing high-quality wines that showcase the terroir of Burgundy, with a particular emphasis on small production quantities and meticulous attention to detail in both the vineyard and the winery. On Leroux`s 2022 Les Genevrières. "The 2022 Meursault Genevrières Dessus 1er Cru is only bottled en magnum. Side-by-side, there is a little more intensity and complexity compared to the regular cuvée, though it is only a marginal difference. The palate is well-balanced, with quite a lively, spicy opening. There’s good depth and a keen line of acidity. Overtly nutty, almost smoky towards the finish, with moderate length. Afford this 3-5 years in bottle." Neal Martin, 2024
