Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

The Meursault Goutte d`Or Comtes Lafon 2010 is a Premier Cru white Burgundy crafted from Chardonnay grapes, exclusively sourced from the Les Goutte d`Or vineyard in Meursault, Côte de Beaune. Domaine des Comtes Lafon, established in the late 19th century, manages approximately 0.50 hectares of this vineyard, characterised by its stony, shallow soils atop limestone. This terroir influences the wine`s complexity, offering mineral notes alongside a restrained richness and moderate acidity. The 2010 vintage exhibits the vineyard’s typicity, showcasing the balance between depth and subtlety inherent in this renowned site.

- Usually we feature older wines in Cellar Favorites, but given the understandable trepidation consumers have around cellaring white Burgundy, I thought it would be interesting to see how a handful of highly touted white Burgundies are faring. To be honest, I had a selfish reason for wanting to taste these wines. I bought many of the Lafon 2010s (it is my daughter’s birth year), but I did so not really knowing when the wines would be ready to drink or how long they will last. I think I can at least offer a view on the first part of that question, but the second, happily, remains a question mark, in the best sense of the term.Vinous readers will recall that 2010 is unusual in the Côte de Beaune for its combination of both elevated ripeness and high acidity, two attributes one rarely finds in the same vintage. At Lafon, the 2010s were positively electric when I tasted them from barrel and then from bottle. Today, a few years later, the 2010 whites are every bit as impressive. Although projecting drinking windows for white Burgundy these days is fraught with peril, based on this showing all of the 2010s need at least a few more years in bottle with the possible exception of the Goutte d’Or.Energetic, precise and nuanced to the core, Lafon’s 2010 Meursault Goutte d’Or offers terrific energy to match its chiseled personality. The Goutte d’Or is the most weightless and lifted of these four wines, but it nevertheless possesses gorgeous energy and fabulous overall balance. This is an impressive showing from the 2010.

A Singular Vision

Domaine des Comtes Lafon is widely considered to produce some of the world's greatest Chardonnay. Currently managed by fourth generation family member Dominique Lafon, who inherited the winery from his father René in the mid 1980s, Comtes Lafon own and source fruit from many of the greatest cru in the region - including Charmes, Clos de la Barre and Montrachet.

Dominique pursued a policy of converting all vineyards under Comtes Lafon's stewardship over to traditional farming methods - moving first to fully organic in 1995 and on to biodynamic in 1998. The average age of vines is around 40 years with yields kept low to ensure quality. Alongside his world class Chardonnay, Dominique also produces Premier Cru Volnay in limited quantities - a relatively new addition to the winery's portfolio, they are swiftly gaining a cult following.
