Marquis de Montesquiou Napoleon c1980s is an aged Armagnac from the Gascony region of France. This bottling dates from the late 20th century and follows the traditional Napoleon classification, which requires at least six years of ageing, though the blend typically incorporates much older stocks. It possesses a profile of dried plums, vanilla beans and toasted nuts, with a firm and spicy backbone that defines the Gascon style. The extra years spent in the bottle have helped the flavours to integrate, resulting in a smoother and more focused spirit than many modern counterparts. It is a classic representation of the house’s production from four decades ago.
