Domaine François Lamarche – recently renamed Domaine Nicole Lamarche – was originally founded in the 20th century by Henri Lamarche and his wife Marie Grivelet. The estate is best known for its Grand Cru holdings in Clos-de-Vougeot, Grands-Échezeaux, Échezeaux and the monopole La Grande Rue, which was awarded Grand Cru status in 1992. The Domaine’s Marc de Bourgogne from the 1961 vintage is a true treasure, representing a remarkable piece of history. Expect layers of rich, dried fruits intertwine with hints of toasted oak and delicate spices, revealing the profound evolution of flavours over time.
