Château Malescot St Exupéry is a Third Growth wine producer situated in the Margaux appellation. Owned by the Zuger family since the 1950s, the estate includes 23 hectares under vine and the best vineyards share the same deep, grave soils as their neighbour Château Margaux. The 1988 vintage delivered a bountiful grape harvest, producing wines with classic style marked by robust structure, firm fruit, and a consistent aptitude for ageing. In 1988, Baron Philippe de Rothschild passed away, concluding a monumental winemaking career that commenced when he first arrived in Pauillac in 1922.
