Les Ormes de Pez 2006 offers a deep ruby color with a rich bouquet of blackcurrant, plum, and hints of cedar. On the palate, it reveals a medium-bodied structure with fine tannins and balanced acidity. Earthy undertones of leather and subtle spices add complexity, while a touch of vanilla from oak aging rounds out the experience.
Originally established in the 19th century, the estate is located in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux. The blend typically consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, showcasing the traditional style of the region. This vintage reflects the characteristics of a warm year, delivering ripeness alongside the classic finesse associated with Les Ormes de Pez.

Vinous
- (a blend of 58% cabernet sauvignon, 36% merlot and 6% cabernet franc) Full ruby. Pure, high-pitched aromas of cassis, black cherry and licorice. Juicy, bright and primary, with slightly elevated acids and a hint of greenness but good stuffing. The tannins are smooth and arrive late. Offers a nice combination of cabernet sauvignon structure and merlot flesh. Seems finer than the 2005.
