Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Château Léoville-Las Cases is a Second Growth wine estate situated in the Saint-Julien appellation. The château produces a Grand Vin and a second wine called Clos du Marquis that has been released since 1902. The 1995 flagship wine is a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc. This vintage was a notable one, following four preceding years marked by inconsistency. A hot summer, reminiscent of that in 1990, set the stage for the 1995 vintage. It yielded red wines that were characterized by their suppleness, harmony, and exceptional quality, all while enjoying bountiful yields.

A year that can get overlooked on the Left Bank compared to the (majestic at this property) 1986, but I would strongly suggest not forgetting about the 1995 Las Cases. No Petit Verdot, unusual at the time and making it more reflective of modern blends, stong salinity, with waves of oyster shell and white truffles that head towards dried roses, finely boned tannins, campfire, soot, undergrowth, blackberry, and a shot of mandarin juice that injects a shot of freshness and youth. At this stage it isn't loudly proclaiming its brilliance, just gently reminding you that this is a wine built to last, with a shot of electricity running through it. 50% new oak. 94 Vinous

Deep ruby-red. Deep, lively aromas of red- and blackcurrants, licorice, tobacco and grilled nuts. Great sweetness and silky texture in the mouth currently overshadows the wine strong supporting acidity and tight core of spice and minerals. The toothcoating tannins don't cover as much of the mouth as those of the '96 do, but this wine offers uncanny length.Stephen Tanzer1st May 1998

The illustrious 2ème Cru Classé property, Château Léoville Las Cases, has cemented its reputation as one of the most consistent producers of exceptional quality wines in the Saint Julien appellation in Bordeaux. Spanning 98ha, the estate produces its celebrated first wine - a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend - in addition to a second wine from young vines, Le Petit Lion. These stellar reds are renowned for their structure and longevity and are produced from the beating heart of the estate, on deep, well-draining gravel soils.

Two further wines are made from a separate site, situated further back from the river with more sandy-gravels: Clos de Marquis and Petite Marquise. The key varietals that make up these powerful red wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
