‘Les Mont Ferrés’ is a Premier Cru single vineyard located in Vertus. In 2018, Leclerc Briant introduced it as a distinctive cuvée for the first time. Comprising 100% Chardonnay, this offering originates from the southernmost village of the Côte des Blancs. With a zero-dosage approach, this cuvée embodies remarkable raciness, complemented by the rounded texture contributed by the ripeness characteristic of the exceptional 2018 vintage.

Translates as `iron hills`. 100% Chardonnay grown in a single 40-year-old vineyard in Vertus as one exits Le Mesnil in the south of the Côte des Blancs on the grand/premier cru border – though Blanc de Blancs does not appear on the front label. Debut vintage of this as a single-vineyard champagne. Disgorged in 2024 with a dosage of just 1 g/l.Intense and throbbing. Much broader than some of this producer`s many single-vineyard champagnes. Creamy and even a bit rich despite the low dosage. Winemaker Hervé Jestin suggests opening the bottle 5–15 minutes before serving the wine. (JR)
