Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Le Pin is one of the newer names of Bordeaux having only made its debut in 1979. Owned and operated by the Thienpont family (of Vieux Château Certan), production is truly miniscule by Bordeaux standards and it is one of the most highly sought-after wines in the world. Offering up a wonderfully concentrated profile with complex layers of herb, spice and coffee notes and beautifully velvety tannins.

Tasted at the Pomerol Comparative Exploration tasting in London, the 1990 Le Pin has a mature bouquet with singed leather, clove, smudged black fruit and mint, turning a little feral and animally in the glass. It does not have the sophistication of the 1989 Le Pin tasted alongside and felt unruly in comparison. That theme continues onto the palate is plush tannin, a mixture of black and blue fruit, slightly lower in acidity than the 1989 and yet utterly seductive. There is a giddy plushness to this Pomerol, deep and enveloping, yet with 26 years on the clock, it has lost some of the tension that I found ten or fifteen years ago. It is as if this Le Pin has just decided to let it all hang out in middle age, no longer desires to keep up with the likes of Lafleur or Petrus. Nevertheless, it remains just one gorgeous Pomerol from Jacques Thienpont. - Neil Martin - Moderately saturated deep ruby. Exotic aromas of game, toast, black fruits and herbs. Very ripe and sweet but not currently displaying the layered texture or sheer opulence for which this tiny Pomerol has gained a cult reputation. In fact, this is quite structured for Le Pin, with a firm tannic underpinning—in style reminiscent of the `86.

A Mould-Breaking Pomerol

Le Pin is one of the newer names of Bordeaux having only made its debut in 1979. The estate takes its name from the pine trees that first stood outside the winery. Situated on Bordeaux's Right Bank, in the prestigious appellation of Pomerol. Production is truly miniscule by Bordeaux standards and Le Pin is thus one of the most highly sought-after wines in the world.

The estate unveiled a state-of-the-art new winery in 2012 and produces superb red wines from 100% Merlot vines that are an average of 40 years old. Beautifully opulent wines, with a seductive, velvety texture and floral complexity. Organic practices are adopted in the vineyard and wines can be aged for up to 22 months in new oak.
