The second wine, the 2011 Le Dragon de Quintus, is a pleasant effort revealing hints of caramel, mocha, black cherries, plums and earth. Medium-bodied with sweet tannin, no herbaceousness, and a somewhat short finish, it is a well-made second wine that can be drunk over the next 5-7 years.
There are high expectations for this new project of the Domaines Clarence Dillon (formerly known as Tertre Daugay). It will be interesting to follow the evolution of these wines given the brilliance of the winemaking team at La Mission-Haut-Brion and Haut-Brion.Robert Parker30th April 2014
