Le Crock 2014 is a notable St Estèphe, produced by the renowned Cuvelier family, who also oversee Château Léoville-Poyferré. This vintage displays characteristics typical of its appellation, featuring concentrated dark fruit aromas with a structural backbone of firm tannins. The palate reveals a blend of blackcurrant and plum, accentuated by subtle earthy notes. Integrated oak influences add depth, while the finish remains persistent. The 2014 vintage benefits from the estate`s commitment to quality and reflects the influences of its distinctive terroir.

Vinous
The 2014 Le Crock is just missing a little detail on the nose: broody, dark berry fruit, hints of graphite but it is missing some charm. The palate is medium-bodied with suppler tannin than its peers. There is plenty of tobacco and spice tinged black fruit with clove and white pepper towards the finish, but overall I would be seeking more precision. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
