Laurent Perrier Harmony is a non-vintage, demi-sec Champagne produced by Laurent Perrier in Tours-sur-Marne, France. Produced from a classic blend of Chardonnay (45%), Pinot Noir (40%) and Pinot Meunier (15%) with extended lees ageing, Laurent Perrier Harmony is bottled with a dosage of 40g/l. Elegant, refined notes of dried fruits, white flowers and toasted hazelnuts define this semi-sweet wine. A perfect accompaniment to rich savoury foods such as foie gras, or fruit and pastry-based desserts.

Green-gold. Delicate spices, honeyed apple and orange on the nose. Fine and brisk for a demi-sec, with clean, spice-tinged apple and pear flavors and medium weight. This is carrying 45 grams per liter of residual sugar but I'd never have guessed it. Finishes with good lift and length. Try this with fresh goat cheeses.

A rather puzzling judgement call, I thought, to show the Demi-Sec after the Brut NV and before the Ultra Brut. I`m not sure it helped the Demi-Sec or the Ultra Brut. 45% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier. RS 40 g/l. A fraction more colour than La Cuvée. Smells of warm crème anglaise, brioche and peaches. Not awfully sweet tasting, considering all that residual sugar. Loosely woven. Biscuits and nectarines and late-harvest apples. Very appley and easy. But I`m not sure this is sweet enough for dessert. Possibly with fresh strawberries and a spoonful of mascarpone? (TC)

Elegant Blanc and Rosé

The Laurent-Perrier portfolio is built around three distinct expressions of its unique savoir-faire. The first is the art of assemblage of reserve wines, exemplified by Grand Siècle - a prestige cuvée crafted from three exceptional years to recreate the perfect year. The second is the mastery of maceration, an innovative winemaking technique that led to the creation of Cuvée Rosé in 1968. Finally, the House pioneered the non-dosage (zero dosage) style with the launch of Ultra Brut in 1981, a visionary approach that continues today with Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature.
