Laurent Perrier Alexandra 2012 is a vintage rosé Champagne produced by Champagne Laurent Perrier in Reims, France. The Champagne house of Laurent-Perrier is celebrated for its innovative spirit and for the hallmark lightness, freshness and elegance of its wines. The Alexandra rosé comes from a rigorous selection of the house`s best plots of Grand Cru Pinot Noir (80% of the blend) and Chardonnay (20%). It is matured for 10 years on lees before disgorgement. Producer note. "A complex nose with notes of red fruits (crushed strawberries). A rich, warm wine with red fruit aromas and a bitter orange finish."

A blend of 80% Pinot Noir from Ambonnay, Bouzy, Mailly-Champagne and Verzenay, combined with 20% Chardonnay from Avize, Cramant and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Laurent-Perrier’s 2012 Alexandra Rosé was disgorged in December 2023 with a dosage of seven grams per liter. Here, Pinot Noir juices—typically macerated for 48 to 72 hours—are co-fermented with Chardonnay musts, resulting in a wine of considerable complexity. Presenting a deep ruby hue, the wine unfurls from the glass with aromas of wild strawberry, pomegranate, blood orange and black velvet gooseberry. Medium- to full-bodied, satiny and beguiling, it reveals a flamboyant core of fruit, underpinned by succulent yet vibrant acidity and culminating in a perfumed, gently phenolic finish. Elegantly muscular and harmonious, it is a wine that compels one to refill the glass, confirming the adage that the best bottles are those that are swiftly emptied. - Kristaps Karklins

The 2012 Rosé Cuvée Alexandra is the hidden gem in the Laurent Perrier range. I seldom see it talked about, which is a shame. Then again, Laurent Perrier only bottles this Champagne in very rare vintages that allow for a maceration of both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Rose petal, mint, kirsch, cinnamon and dried flowers caress the palate. Cuvée Alexandra is such a special Champagne, one I would very much like to see more often! Antonio Galloni8th April 2025

100% Grand Cru blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, the Alexandra Rosé 2012 Millésimé brings a patrician pedigree to the glass. Luminous and intense aromas of savory red fruit, pink grapefruit, lemon, and chalk lead into a medium-bodied palate with a pinpoint mousse that’s richly embellished by ripe red fruit concentration and precision acid buoyancy. Balanced and refreshing, it has a luxuriously long finish with a subtle tannic note.Sarah Mayo8th November 2023

The Champagne house of Laurent-Perrier is celebrated for its innovative spirit and for the hallmark lightness, freshness and elegance of its wines. Founded in 1812 by André Michel Pierlot, the Maison took the Laurent-Perrier name when Mathilde-Émilie Perrier, widow of Eugène Laurent, combined the two family names after she decided to expand the business. Family-run to this day, the House has been in the de Nonancourt family since 1939.

Laurent-Perrier produces a superb vintage Champagne; an outstanding prestige cuvée known as Grand Siécle; as well as the Laurent-Perrier Rosé Brut NV, which is one of the most widely-recognised and popular Rosé Champagnes. Produced from 100% Pinot Noir with a controlled period of maceration, the Laurent-Perrier Rosé Brut NV is a gorgeous salmon-pink wine with wonderful aromatic richness.
