Domaine Rossignol-Trapet Latricières-Chambertin 2013 is a full-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Grand Cru climat of Latricières-Chambertin in the Côte de Nuits. Established in 1990, Domaine Rossignol Trapet began its conversion to biodynamic viticulture in 2005 and was officially certified organic and biodynamic in 2008. "Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a very composed bouquet with fine delineation, bright redcurrant and cranberry fruit, later hints of dried blood and potpourri. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, gentle and yet harmonious with gorgeous mulberry and red plum fruit, underneath which lies very fine mineralité. With great length to boot, this is an excellent Latricières from Rossignol-Trapet." Neal Martin 2016

Vinous
Medium red. High-toned, expressive aromas of redcurrant, red cherry and spices, plus hints of peppery herbs and menthol. Surprisingly supple and sweet in the mouth; in fact, this wine comes across as almost soft after the Petite Chapelle and seems lower in acidity than the vintage would suggest. A saline nuance adds interest to this very silky wine. Finishes with smooth, fine-grained tannins and good length. This fruit was picked very late--on October 11 or 12, according to Nicolas Rossignol.Stephen Tanzer1st March 2016
