Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Faiveley is one of the most recognized wine producers in Burgundy. The estate was founded in 1825 by Pierre Faiveley and it is currently run by seventh-generation Eve and Erwan Faiveley. This release comes from Latricières-Chambertin, one of the eight Grand Cru vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin, where the Domaine owns a 1.2-hectare parcel. Expect notes of wild berries and earth with a sprig of mint and a few shavings of nutmeg.

Vinous
Medium red. Complex, musky aromas of raspberry, cherry and coffee. Sweet and dense, with red berry and mineral flavors shaped and lifted by lively acidity. Nicely balanced and aromatic in the mouth, with lovely restrained sweetness. Finishes with sweet tannins and excellent persistence. An excellent showing.Stephen Tanzer1st March 2003
