Château Latour 2015 is a prestigious Left Bank Bordeaux blend from the Pauillac appellation, crafted primarily from 97.1% Cabernet Sauvignon, with 2.6% Merlot and 0.3% Petit Verdot. The wine exhibits a deep garnet hue, indicating its full-bodied structure. The nuanced aromas include elements of black and red currant, blackberries and a hint of graphite.

Intense, a reminder of how Latour sets the benchmark for how to respond to hot vintages over in Pauillac. There is a muscular set to the tannins, woven through delicate slate and crayon edge, with touches of fragrant fennel and aniseed, black tea, chamomile, crushed roses, excellent quality. A rare Pauillac that is better than the 2014. Harvest September 15 to October 10, 30% of production in the main wine. Hélène Genin technical director.Jane Anson19th February 2025

The 2015 Château Latour is a blend of 97.1% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2.6% Merlot, and 0.3% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet colored, it requires a considerable amount of shaking to wake up the nose of plum preserves, warm cassis, and black cherry compote, giving way to exotic nuances of licorice, sandalwood, rose oil, and cardamom. The medium-bodied palate slowly expands in the mouth to reveal opulent notes of exotic spices, black fruit preserves, and floral accents, leading to a compelling minerally undercurrent. Wonderfully taut, firm, grainy-textured tannins and tantalizing acidity lend gravitas to all this flamboyant fruit, delivering a very long and fragrant finish.Lisa Perrotti-Brown6th March 2023

The 2015 Latour has such a refined nose that's perhaps more laid back than other vintages, unfolding with blackberry, raspberry, cedar and pencil shavings. This is discreet yet compelling and wonderfully delineated. The palate is medium-bodied with finely chiseled tannins, exquisite balance, real weight and tension. This has a long and tender, graphite-tinged finish. As I wrote before: cool, calm and collected. Superb. Tasted at the 2015 Ten-Year-On tasting at Bordeaux Index. Neal Martin3rd June 2025

A Towering First Growth
Situated on the Bordeaux's Left Bank in the appellation of Pauillac, this superb First Growth is produced from the estate's 92ha of vines, spread across 138 plots, (47 hectares of which are located in renowned 'L'Enclos'). The clay and gravel soils give superbly concentrated, textural Cabernet Sauvignon dominant reds, with Merlot and smaller percentages of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc making up the blend.
The estate also produces two further celebrated reds, Les Forts de Latour and Pauillac de Latour. Certified organic since 2018, biodynamic techniques are also used in the vineyard.
