Château Latour is one of the oldest Bordeaux wine producing properties in the appellation of Pauillac and has a history dating back to the 14th Century. The 1967 reveals a bouquet of cedar, caramel and wax. The palate is very harmonious and rich, with good concentration. Very well-balanced with well-integrated, ripe tannins and a soft finish.

The 1967 Latour is a vintage that I had never tasted until it was poured blind at the château. It is probably the best Left Bank from this season that I have tasted. It has a lovely mint-tinged nose with pencil box scents interwoven into the red fruit. There is more red fruit on the palate, a touch of licorice and a silky texture. Perfectly judged acidity, this is no powerful Latour, yet it has superb balance and plenty of depth of the slightly piquant finish. Bon vin. Tasted at the château. Neal Martin7th February 2024

A Towering First Growth
Situated on the Bordeaux's Left Bank in the appellation of Pauillac, this superb First Growth is produced from the estate's 92ha of vines, spread across 138 plots, (47 hectares of which are located in renowned 'L'Enclos'). The clay and gravel soils give superbly concentrated, textural Cabernet Sauvignon dominant reds, with Merlot and smaller percentages of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc making up the blend.
The estate also produces two further celebrated reds, Les Forts de Latour and Pauillac de Latour. Certified organic since 2018, biodynamic techniques are also used in the vineyard.
