Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

The 2015 Château Lascombes is the first in a run of exceptional releases in the last few years from this highly acclaimed Margaux Second Growth estate. A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, it has ample concentration, freshness and textural fibre to have a long and distinguished life in the cellar.

This is one to look out for, with softly extracted brambled fruits, traces of crème de cassis heat from the vintage conditions balanced by mandarin peel, pomegranate, lemongrass even, slate texture, very impressive 2015, with the joyful character that you expect from Lascombes. Maceration heads up to 40 days at this point, and the tannins and grilled sandalwood swamp the fruit a little, but there is plenty to enjoy here. 70% new oak, 42hl/h yield, havest September 17 to October 15.Jane Anson8th November 2023

The 2015 Lascombes was out of sorts when I re-tasted the wine after bottling, but a year later, it has settled down and is one of the best wines from the estate in recent vintages. It offers delightfully pure, beautifully defined black cherry and blueberry fruit; pressed violet aromas gradually unfurl with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with crisp tannin, which is perhaps still a little rigid but provides a symmetrical framework upon which the pure, graphite-tinged black fruit rests. One to watch. Chateau Lascombes

Modern Margaux

Château Lascombes has a rich history that dates back to the 17th century when it was owned by the Durfort de Duras family. In the 18th century, the property was acquired by the Lascombes family, who gave the estate its current name. Throughout the years, Chateau Lascombes has undergone significant changes in ownership and management. In the mid-19th century, the property was acquired by the English merchant, Alexander Lawton, who expanded the vineyards and modernized the winemaking facilities. In the 1950s, the estate was purchased by the Tari family, who continued to invest in the property and improve its quality. In 2001, Chateau Lascombes was sold to the American investment firm, Colony Capital, who implemented further upgrades and modernizations.

Today, Chateau Lascombes is a 117-hectare estate with 50 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are planted with a blend of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, and are situated on well-drained gravelly soils that are ideal for producing high-quality wines. The winemaking process at Chateau Lascombes is characterized by a combination of traditional and modern techniques, with a focus on producing wines that are rich, complex, and expressive of their terroir.
