The 2013 Langhe Rosso Roagna is a red wine from the Roagna family estate. This wine is a blend of Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto from younger vines within the family’s assorted vineyard holdings across Barbaresco and Barolo. It is fermented with natural yeasts and aged in large oak casks, reflecting the estate’s commitment to minimal intervention. The 2013 vintage provides structure, with notes of red berry fruit, subtle floral undertones and hints of earthiness, featuring fine tannins and a vibrant finish.

The 2013 Langhe Rosso is the estate's young-vine Nebbiolo from Barolo and Barbaresco-designated vineyards. Already showing the first hints of aromatic development, this mid-weight Nebbiolo is a terrific choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Crushed flowers, tobacco, cedar and dried cherries are all laced into the wine's fabric. The 2013 is a good option for readers who want to drink a Nebbiolo with hints of tertiary complexity. The 2013 spent three years in cask, twice as long as the minimum required aging for Barolo these days. Antonio Galloni1st May 2019
