Langham`s award-winning Culver Classic Cuvée NV is made from base vintage 2018 and 11% reserve wine, and is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier, 25% Chardonnay. A red fruit dominant cuvée with floral and baked apple notes. The perfect match for charcuterie and cheeses. Situated in rural Dorset, the Langham Estate take a low-intervention approach to both grape growing and wine production, constantly striving to minimise their environmental impact. The wines are neither fined nor filtered, making them vegan and vegetarian friendly.

Of Langham`s two entry-level wines, it is currently the red-grape heavy NV Culver (2021 base) that impresses the most in a 2021 where Chardonnay-heavy Corallian is showing some vegetal notes. The Pinots, here, clearly achieved some aromatic ripeness, though, with some ripe pear, apricot and bitter herb flavors opened up with a little ground-nut richness. It`s brisk and a little raw on a the palate compared to vintages and riper base years here but nevertheless a solid effort. - Tom Hewson

Dorset vineyard. 66% Pinot Noir, 24% Pinot Meunier, 10% Chardonnay. 94% 2017 and 6% reserve wines. Bottled 17 May 2018, disgorged 14 December 2020. Dosage 2.5 g/l.
Complete contrast to the Corallian. this nose is fresh apple. Crunchy, little bit of green mossiness and baby ferns. Flint on the palate and much more direct and compact – like a pewter pipe. Slightly rigid and doesn`t quite have the length and complexity of the Corallian, although I like the dab of sherbet in the middle of the tongue towards the finish. More of a summer aperitif wine.
