Nestled in the Pomerol appellation, Château Lafleur-Gazin is currently owned by the Borderie family. However, since 1976, it has been under a prolonged lease agreement with Jean-Pierre Moueix Vins. The 2021 vintage is made exclusively from Merlot, presenting a medium-depth ruby-purple colour. The open and ripe nose leads to a densely fruity palate that adheres attractively to the mouth, devoid of any bitterness. The wine concludes with an intense finish, boasting a lovely length.
Vinous
The 2021 Lafleur-Gazin was picked 27 to 29 September. This has quite a high-toned bouquet with kirsch and raspberry fruit, quite fresh, leaning towards the more opulent side of things. The palate is floral on the nose and nicely focused. There is a kirsch element that filters through with a generous cherry-tinged finish. This will be difficult to resist in its youth.
