Château Lafite Rothschild 1957 is a notable vintage from this esteemed Premier Grand Cru Classé estate in Pauillac, Bordeaux. Owned by the Rothschild family since 1868, Lafite is primarily known for its Cabernet Sauvignon blends, often accompanied by Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The vineyard`s deep gravel soils contribute to the wine`s structure. The winemaking process includes hand-harvesting and fermentation in a combination of wooden and stainless-steel vessels, with a maturation period of 18-20 months in new French oak barrels. This vintage exhibits complex aromas and a distinct profile shaped by its age.
