Labégorce 2010 presents a deep garnet hue, hinting at its maturity. On the nose, it reveals a bouquet of black cherries, plums, and hints of cedar, accompanied by subtle earthy undertones. The palate is marked by a structured tannin profile, with dark fruit flavors complemented by a touch of tobacco and spice. The finish is moderately long, reflecting the balanced acidity that this vintage offers.

Located in the Margaux appellation of Bordeaux, Labégorce is known for its blend of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. The 2010 vintage benefited from favorable weather conditions, leading to a harvest of ripe, well-structured grapes. The wine underwent traditional winemaking techniques, including fermentation in temperature-controlled vats and aging in oak barrels, which contributes to its complexity and layered flavors over time.

Vinous
The 2010 Labégorce has a backward nose that demands a lot of coaxing from the glass. A bit of boot polish infuses the black fruit, cedar and pencil box notes; a light marine influence comes through with time. The palate is soft on entry with moderate weight and is lightly spiced with a little dryness on the finish. Not quite sure about this evolution. Neal Martin26th January 2023
