The La Réserve de Léoville Barton 2010 is the second wine of the renowned Léoville Barton estate in Saint-Julien. A wine that perfectly captures the power and structural excellence of the exceptional 2010 vintage, it offers a deep core of cassis pencil lead and tobacco leaf. The palate is firm, dense and structured by imposing powerful tannins and bright acidity, requiring extended bottle age to reveal its considerable potential.
90 Vinous
The 2010 Réserve de Léoville Barton offers loam-infused black fruit on the nose, touches of smoke and tobacco emerging with time, overtly classic in style. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins that frame the bright red and black fruit. Very harmonious with quite a persistent minty finish, it is not terribly complex but is charming and conveys an effortless quality. Recommended. Tasted blind at Farr Vintners 10-Year On Bordeaux horizontal. Neal Martin1st April 2020
