Château La Fleur-Pétrus is a scenic Pomerol estate, located just across the road from Château Pétrus and adjacent to Château Lafleur. Presented here in a 300cl bottle is the highly praised 2018 vintage, a harmonious blend of 91% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. The wine combines a unique elegance with the structure typical of the great vineyards of Pomerol. A wonderfully complex and ripe red, with rounded tannins and excellent length.

The 2018 La Fleur-Petrus is a blend of 93% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, it gallops out of the glass with energetic scents of crushed blackberries, black raspberries, and wild blueberries, followed by wafts of violets, slate, and underbrush with a hint of clove oil. The densely laden, full-bodied palate has a fantastic backbone of very fine-grained tannins and lively acidity supporting the tightly wound black fruits, finishing long and perfumed.Lisa Perrotti-Brown26th January 2023

Continuing a run of strong vintages at Lafleur-Petrus, this has finesse and elegance alongside its muscular, powerful tannins. Think smoked blueberries, cloves and chocolate-dipped raspberries, concentrated and confident, opening to black truffles and campfire smoke. Pomerol signature in spades.Jane Anson5th October 2021

The 2018 La Fleur-Pétrus has a wonderful bouquet that exceeds my expectations, featuring black-truffle-infused black fruit and those juniper berries I noticed out of barrel, all beautifully defined and seeming to blossom in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins. There is a slightly granular texture on the entry, matched with a fine bead of acidity. Very harmonious. A pinch of salted licorice appears toward the finish, which might lag behind both Trotanoy and Hosanna in terms of complexity, but delivers impressive persistence. Neal Martin21st March 2021
