The L`Arrosee 1982 is a mature red wine from a Grand Cru Classé estate in the Saint-Émilion appellation of Bordeaux`s Right Bank. This wine exemplifies the evolution of Bordeaux wines over time. This vintage reveals a deep garnet hue, with noticeable bricking at the rim. On the nose, expect complex aromas of damp earth, fig reduction and subtle oak, interwoven with hints of dried herbs. The palate presents a full-bodied profile, showcasing mature tannins and a balanced acidity. Flavours of prune, underbrush and light spice are prominent, with a lingering finish that reflects its age. L`Arrosee is known for its meticulous vineyard practices, adhering to biodynamic principles since the 1990s.

This was tasted from magnum as it is the only format I have left in the cellar. Some noticeable bricking and amber at the edge are followed by stunning aromatics of loamy soil, underbrush, kirsch, and oak as well as floral undertones. There are no hard edges to be found in this silky wine, just plush notes of jammy black cherries, plums, figs, earth, and spice. Broad and full-bodied with fully melted tannins, good minerality, and a long finish, this is one of the finest l’Arrosees ever made. It has been mature for at least a decade, but shows no signs of falling apart. It will keep for at least another decade. Release price.($140.00/case)
