Kutch McDougall Ranch Pinot Noir 2017 is a single-vineyard wine from the cool climate of the Sonoma Coast. This expression highlights the distinctive characteristics of McDougall Ranch, known for its well-drained soils and temperate conditions. The wine reveals a core of red cherry alongside subtle herbal notes and a hint of earthiness. Aged using whole clusters, it retains a precise structure, enhanced by a refreshing acidity.

The 2017 Pinot Noir McDougall Ranch is flat-out gorgeous. In the glass, the McDougall is deep, layered and exquisitely beautiful, from the very first taste. The wine's sheer density practically covers the whole cluster influence. Bold, dramatic and sweeping in feel, the McDougall is a total stunner. I loved it. Antonio Galloni1st May 2019

Very bright transparent crimson. Rich and grainy. And a real whack of ripe fruit on the palate. Quite outstanding! Gentle texture but real intensity too. Long and throbbing. Firm and dry on the end. There`s a future to this wine. (JR)
