Krug Vintage 1995 is a vintage Champagne featuring a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 48% Pinot Noir, and 12% Pinot Meunier. The nose unveils a complex interplay of toasted brioche and citrus notes, complemented by subtle nuances of stone fruit and liquorice. On the palate, savoury elements integrate with flavours of ripe pear and nutty characteristics. Founded in 1843, Krug is known for its dedication to craftsmanship and the expression of terroir in every bottle.

The 1995 Krug is gorgeous. I chose it because one of my guests loves Krug and I thought the 1995 would have the right amount of complexity to pair beautifully with the smokiness in Saison’s caviar. Although the 1995 Krug is not a truly epic wine, it is in a sweet spot right now.Antonio Galloni1st December 2018

Elegant Luxury

A Champagne house that needs no introduction. Founded by Johann Krug in Reims in 1843, this celebrated Maison specialises in prestige cuvées, including the multi-vintage flagship Grande Cuvée as well as the glorious Krug Clos d'Ambonnay, made exclusively from Pinot Noir. Another highlight is the highly coveted Clos du Mesnil - a rare Blanc de Blancs produced only in exceptional years from a single, tiny 1.84ha plot of Chardonnay grapes in the heart of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Krug has been owned by LVMH since 1999.

While Krug's excellent Grande Cuvée and Rosé have historically been released as multi-vintage blends with no indication of year, the team have now started including edition numbers so consumers can easily discover the age and provenance of the base wines used in the blend.
