A Tequila produced at the historic La Rojeña distillery in Tequila, Mexico. This era of production predates many of the modern industrial shifts in the industry, offering a more traditional agave profile with a distinct vegetal and peppery backbone. The 1970s bottling is often found at a slightly higher ABV than modern standard releases, providing a more robust mouthfeel and intense mineral finish. For collectors, it represents a rare opportunity to taste the foundational spirit of the world’s most famous Tequila house as it was over 50 years ago.
