Duty Charges

Below is a summary of the new duty charges per bottle as of February 2026. Please note that these vary depending on the ABV and are subject to change. Please get in touch if you require more information:

Transparent Billing and Rate Calculations

Annual Billing: Clients are invoiced annually based on the wines stored in the preceding year.
Case Equivalents: A case is defined as 9 litres of wine (typically twelve 750ml bottles), ensuring clarity in pricing.
Pro-Rata Charges: Storage fees are charged on a per-bottle basis, and wines stored for part of a month will be billed accordingly.

How to Use Our Bonded Storage

Purchase en primeur or under-bond wines from Hedonism Wines.
Automatically enjoy twelve months of free storage at our bonded storage when you open your storage account.
After twelve months, your storage will continue at the rates outlined above, with quarterly invoicing.
When you are ready to receive your wines, simply request delivery. Most orders are fulfilled within 3-4 working days.

Joh Jos Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Goldkapsel 2016 is a sweet Riesling produced with botrytis-affected grapes from the Prüm estate`s most famous vineyard. The Goldkapsel indicates a higher level of concentration and sweetness compared with the standard Auslese. The 2016 vintage produced wines with great clarity and fruit purity. Expect an intense bouquet of apricot, honeysuckle and slate-driven smoke. The palate is viscous and rich, yet it remains remarkably light on its feet due to the Mosel’s characteristic high acidity. In this half-bottle format, the wine will evolve slightly faster, making it an excellent choice for observing the development of exotic fruit and honeyed complexity.

The 2016 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auslese is clear, fine and subtle yet concentrated, with vegetal and ripe fruit aromas. Rich, round and piquant, this is an intense and densely woven Auslese with a long, tensioned and refreshing mineral finish that lifts the sweet fruit. Scents and luscious, glossy palate presence of overripe apple and peach gain welcome counterpoint from the piquancy of seed and pit, while a greenhouse-like diversity of flowering and leafing things conveys intriguing perfume. A musky, peony-like note emerges midpalate. Liqueur-like intensity of fruit and a touch of caramel are backed, as in this year’s Bernkasteler Auslese Goldkapsel, by an unusually prominent sense of sheer sweetness, but without the fresh fruit juiciness that clung to that corresponding Bernkasteler’s finish. Intense aroma of pure apricot fruit with a touch of pineapple exoticism. That same tropical flavour on the finish. Flowing and viscous but not excessively sweet thanks to the freshness on the finish. Still very primary and showing little bottle age. (JH)
