Inglenook is a historical Napa Valley property originally established by Finnish-born sea captain Gustave Nieubaum in 1879. Almost a century later, the estate changed hands in 1975 when it was purchased by the legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. Today, Inglenook consists of 688 contiguous hectares, 95 of which are organically certified vineyards. The ‘CASK’ Cabernet Sauvignon was produced until the 2008 vintage and consisted indeed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The 1982 vintage is now a beautifully mature wine, boasting notes of black fruit, tobacco, herbs and a hint of caramel.
