Hibiki 35 Years Old Imaizumi Imaemon XIII is a blended Japanese whisky of extraordinary age and rarity. This release is a collaboration between Suntory and the legendary porcelain artist Imaizumi Imaemon XIII, with the whisky presented in a handcrafted Arita-yaki ceramic decanter. It is a masterfully balanced blend of very old malts and grain whiskies, showing a profile of sandalwood, dried apricot, honey and a hint of mizunara oak spice. The palate is dense and incredibly smooth, reflecting over three decades of maturation.

A Pioneering Japanese Blend

Launched in 1989 to commemorate Suntory’s 90th anniversary, Hibiki is Japan’s most prolifically awarded blended whisky. ‘Hibiki’ translates as resonance in Japanese and reflects the company’s philosophy of living in harmony with people and nature, with the 24 seasons of the ancient Japanese calendar, for example, referenced in the 24 facets of Hibiki whisky’s bottle design, which is elegantly rendered on handcrafted Echizen paper.

The Hibiki Whisky range is a testament to the art of blending, with Yamazaki and Hakashu malt whiskies and Chita grain whisky blended with unparalleled attention to detail and craftsmanship by Hibiki master blender Shinji Fukuyo. The core Hibiki range includes the flagship Hibiki Japanese Harmony, along with Hibiki 12 Years Old, Hibiki 17 Years Old, Hibiki 21 Years Old, and Hibiki 30 Years Old.
