La Petite Chapelle (became La Maison Bleu in 2015) is Paul Jaboulet Aîné`s second Hermitage cuvée, made from Syrah grown across several of the hill`s best-known lieux-dits, offering serious Hermitage character at a more accessible level than the flagship La Chapelle. 2011 was a warm, generous year in the northern Rhône, giving wines that are approachable earlier than the powerful 2010s. Expect aromas of black olive, cracked pepper, dark berries and garrigue herbs, and a full-bodied, structured palate with a firm tannic edge. Pair with lamb or game.
